About
Freelance tech lead. I have been designing and evolving complex systems for twenty years, with a strong focus on architecture, quality, and the pragmatic use of AI in software development.
Background
Twenty years designing systems, a significant part of it in investment banking on counterparty risk topics: exposure, PFE, CVA, SA-CCR. What those twenty years of code hadn't taught me, connecting an architecture decision to a business decision in both directions, I went looking for in the Digital Transformation Strategist program at École Polytechnique Executive Education, with a thesis built on a real transformation project.

The choice isn't primarily about the day rate: it's access to more interesting projects (architecture, counterparty risk, AI-assisted development), and a freedom that carries the responsibility of managing my own trajectory rather than delegating it.

I volunteer at the Cercle d'Échecs de Bois-Colombes chess club, helping organize tournaments, which gave rise to EloChessPlanner and OpeningBook. And I'm a father of three kids for whom I build the education apps myself (SouSou, Studyverse, Quizzy), rather than using off-the-shelf ones: a simple rule to hold to, never a real reward as a motivation mechanic.
