Areas of expertise

Software architecture & DDD

Hexagonal architecture, Domain-Driven Design, end-to-end TDD/BDD: keeping the business domain separate from the framework so the system stays changeable over time, not just functional on delivery day.

MissionMatch (Kotlin/Spring Boot/Angular), counterparty-risk-lab (TypeScript)

Market finance & counterparty risk

Exposure, PFE, CVA, SA-CCR, netting, collateral: a practice built in investment banking, which I document and make accessible to developers with no finance background.

kotlin-counterparty-risk, Finance for Engineers (20 articles, 71-term glossary)

Event streaming & Kafka

Producers, consumers, exactly-once transactions, Kafka Streams, schema registry: used on client engagements, kept sharp between engagements with my own revision tools.

MissionMatch, Kafkex

AI-assisted development

Claude Code, daily: business skills, scheduled agents, living documentation. AI as a thinking and velocity partner, not a shortcut that skips architectural discipline.

Published blog articles, living documentation skill, scheduled agents

How I work

  • Tests before code

TDD/BDD by default on projects that warrant it: the test documents the expected behavior before the implementation exists.

  • Domain separated from the framework

Hexagonal architecture: the business core depends on no infrastructure technology, which keeps the system testable and the framework replaceable.

  • Bilingual by default

Documentation and content produced in French and English from the start, not bolted on afterward.

  • AI as a partner, not autopilot

Claude Code speeds up execution and challenges my decisions, but architecture and structuring choices remain an owned human responsibility.

Types of engagements

Freelance tech lead / architect

Design and evolution of complex systems, architecture trade-offs, technical mentoring for a team.

Existing architecture audit

Diagnosis of an existing system: technical debt, separation of concerns, a prioritized remediation plan.

Applied AI development coaching

Setting up skills, agents and Claude Code workflows tailored to a team's business domain.

Counterparty risk / market finance development

Implementation of risk calculations (exposure, CVA, SA-CCR) on existing banking systems.

He has a real sense of commitment to delivering his projects on time for the benefit of his clients. His technical expertise in service-oriented architectures, his ability to help every member of his squad grow both technically and personally, and his ease interacting with the teams around him make him a major asset on any project.
Mounir Bayach · Direct manager
I worked with Riadh as a developer in the same team he led. He is a profile that corresponds to any company looking for someone with a great capacity for proposal and problem solving with a reduced time to market. He is gifted and does not hesitate to help others thanks to his immense IT knowledge.
Abdelaziz Houmadi · Teammate
Riadh is a passionate, hard-working developer with solid skills, who enjoys sharing his knowledge. His team spirit, professionalism and pursuit of excellence are qualities I greatly appreciated in him.
Van-Minh Pho · Teammate at RelevanC
I had the pleasure to work with Riadh. He is a strong and passionate Java and Kotlin developer. Quality and work done right are very important for him. He also likes to discover and explore new frameworks and technologies. He is also a great speaker, sharing his knowledge during tech events (like "BBL", Brown Bag Lunch).
Romain Schlick · Teammate
